ATTENTION AYS FAMILIES!
There are currently opportunities for local businesses to advertise with AYS for the 2015 and 2016 season…while helping their local youth!
AYS has over 800 children playing soccer each year and these children have life-long benefits from the teamwork, sportsmanship and skills learned thru AYS. Our children need sports programs and we need your help in continuing our programs.
Sponsorship support ensures that every child who wants to play soccer in Attleboro will have that opportunity. Coach’s Clinics, equipment purchases, low registration fees are just a few of the results of our generous sponsors.
Do you or someone you know have a business that could use some local advertising at an affordable cost?
Here are some details:
Sponsorships of $150 provides a team with shirts and the company name printed on the back of each, a link on the AYS web site to your business site and New this Fall! An additional donation of only $75 allows your company the same sponsorship benefits listed above for the 2016 Spring season for a total 2015-2016 sponsorship of $225.
NOTE: For the Fall season only, sponsors will receive a commemorative (item TBD), with your team’s photograph for display at your place of business.
See the attached sponsorship form for instructions and contact information
Please complete the attached form no later than July 20 2015.
Congratulations to Attleboro’s own Michael Russo for earning a place in the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 1 Olympic Development Program pool. The Region 1 pool consists of the top 70 boys in his age group from the 13 states in Region 1 (Maine to Virginia). Michael will now be competing for a spot in the U.S. Soccer U14 National Team pool this summer. Michael was one of 6 boys from Massachusetts to earn a place in this pool.
From the Bays website:
BAYS expects all of its members to practice good sportsmanship, we believe examples of outstanding sportsmanship should be recognized and rewarded.
For the second year a Sportsmanship Award will be presented to those teams that have been nominated and selected by the sportsmanship award committee to receive the award. Teams that earn the award will receive special T shirts and a team picture will be posted here in recognition of this honor.
Nominations were received from referees and opposing coaches this season and there were a number of teams that exhibited examples of outstanding sportsmanship.
After considering all of the submissions, and having investigated the comments received, the committee has selected two teams to receive the 2015 BAYS Sportsmanship Award. The two teams are: The Natick girls’ U-18 team, coached by Tracy Coffman, and The Attleboro Thunder boys’ U-18 team, coached by Adam Sims.
It should be noted that both teams were recognized for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season and that both coaches were recognized for emphasizing sportsmanship during their previous coaching seasons as well.
Since the tone is set at the top, Tracy and Adam are to be congratulated for setting the proper example for their parents and players every season. They are a credit to their respective town organizations as well as to BAYS in general.
Congratulations to the Attleboro U-18 boys Team for winnning the sportsmanship award.
